The terms and conditions governing your use of the MIU School platform.

By accessing or using MIU School ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Platform. The Platform is operated by MIU Tek ("we", "us", "our") and is intended for use by educational institutions, their staff, students, parents, and authorised administrators.
Public self-registration is disabled. Schools are onboarded by a Super Admin; subsequent user accounts are created by School Admins and Principals. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for safeguarding your login credentials. Accounts are personal and may not be shared.
Subscription plans and pricing are agreed during onboarding. Fees are billed in advance per the chosen billing cycle (monthly or annual). You may cancel at any time from your billing settings; access continues until the end of the paid period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time, except as required by law.
You agree not to (a) reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Platform; (b) upload malicious content, spam, or material that infringes the rights of others; (c) use the Platform to process data outside the scope of the agreed educational purpose; (d) attempt to gain unauthorised access to other schools' data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
All school, staff, student, and parent data remains the property of the subscribing school. We act as a data processor and process personal data only on the documented instructions of the school (the data controller). Our full data-processing practices are described in our Privacy Policy.
We target 99.5% monthly uptime for the production environment. Scheduled maintenance is announced at least 48 hours in advance. We are not liable for downtime caused by force-majeure events, third-party hosting providers, or customer-side issues.
The Platform, including its source code, design, logos, and documentation, is the intellectual property of MIU Tek. A limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence is granted to use the Platform during the subscription term. No other rights are granted.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MIU Tek's total aggregate liability arising from or related to the Platform is limited to the amount of fees paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms and fail to remedy the breach within thirty (30) days of written notice. Upon termination, we will export your data on request within thirty (30) days, after which it is deleted.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nairobi.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least fourteen (14) days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
